About 'auburn university war eagle'|National Champion Auburn Tigers or War Eagles

It               is               college               football               season.

Here,               in               Alabama,               the               pressure               is               on.

Tickets               to               the               Iron               Bowl               are               sold               out               months               in               advance.

Merchandise               is               available               all               over               the               state               to               promote               both               Alabama               and               Auburn.

From               simple               flags               on               a               vehicle,               to               flags               waving               proudly               in               someone's               yard,               there               are               many               ways               that               fans               show               their               support.

The               question               is:               How               far               would               an               Alabama               or               Auburn               football               fan               go               to               show               support               for               their               team?

Especially,               when               it               comes               to               showing               defending               their               team               and               what               it               stands               for?
I               grew               up               in               Florida               and               coming               here               to               watch               the               clash               and               the               battles               of               the               two               teams               is               an               inspiration               and               entertainment               all               in               itself.

Sometimes,               the               support               is               simple...and               sometimes...well,               I've               seen               some               nasty               fights               break               out.
               What               deems               as               simple               support?

One               of               my               sister-in-laws               has               a               son               named               Auburn               in               honor               of               their               favorite               team.

My               best               friend               buys               Auburn               merchandise.

Many               restaurants               allow               their               workers               to               wear               Alabama               or               Auburn               shirts               on               Saturdays               and               switch               televisions               over               to               air               the               games.

Many               people               attach               flags               to               their               cars,               or               in               some               cases,               I've               seen               an               Auburn               tiger               tail               sticking               out               of               someone's               trunk.
When               walking               into               the               grocery               store               on               Saturdays,               fans               will               shout               to               complete               strangers:               "Roll               Tide!"               or               "War               Eagle!"               Amanda               M.

of               Athens               says               that               when               her               youngest               child               learned               to               say               "Roll               Tide!"               that               it               became               her               ring               tong               for               many               months.
Of               course,               I've               seen               support               levels               slowly               work               its               way               to               out               of               control.

A               simple               bet               had               one               man               standing               on               the               side               of               the               road               in               a               dress,               holding               a               sign               that               said               he               supported               Auburn.

Turns               out,               he's               an               Alabama               fan.

I've               met               couples               where               their               households               are               divided.

If               both               teams               have               a               game               on               at               the               same               time,               they               watch               separate               televisions               in               separate               rooms.

They               told               me               this               keeps               them               from               breaking               each               others'               television.

Joy               M.

of               Athens               had               spoken               of               a               couple               that               offered               to               pay               for               their               child               to               go               to               any               college               -               as               long               as               it               wasn't               Auburn.
Now,               the               extreme               starts               to               kick               in.

I               remember               not               long               ago,               an               irate               Alabamian               fan               killed               historic               trees               at               Auburn               University.

Even               Alabama               fans               had               to               agree               this               was               too               much.

I've               also               had               the               unusual               privilege               of               one               Auburn               fan               break               their               television               in               frustration               over               a               bad               football               play.

Another               odd               show               of               support               that               I've               witnessed               occurred               at               a               restaurant,               where               an               Alabama               fan               didn't               tip               their               server               but               a               dollar               because               of               them               wearing               an               Auburn               shirt.
So,               what               have               you've               done               in               honor               of               your               favorite               college               team?

Do               you               bake               cakes               in               the               shape               of               a               football               and               plaster               your               favorite               team's               name               across               the               cake?

Did               you               have               Barbie               dolls               as               kids               that               represented               your               favorite               team               and               took               turns               beating               up               nonconformists?

Do               you               stand               on               the               side               of               the               road               holding               a               poster               representing               your               favorite               team               in               hopes               of               people               honking               their               support?

Or               in               bad               circumstances               where               they               might               try               to               hit               you               with               their               car?

With               the               college               football               season               in               full               swing,               show               your               support               for               your               favorite               team               -               without               taking               it               too               far.
So,               show               your               support               for               your               favorite               college               football               team               today!
